Summer Greetings!

Hey Y'all!! It is that lovely time of week again when we get to update the world on our fun little lives around here.... so without further adieu... sit back, relax, and enjoy a little bit of reading. This week has been a fun week around the VanDrimmelen home. Mostly it has been filled with work, play and just a grand ol' time! Honestly though, I don't really know what there is that is new. The kids are just as super as before. Joseph has at times been a little angel and a super helper... and then at other times a total handful!! :-) Just now I put him to bed and he started to make fun of Bekah and then I just said his name and he was like "Oh, yeah... I'm not in charge.... sorry Bekah." That was pretty cool... although I have to be honest... that doesn't happen every week. Bekah is... like a flower... yeah a flower. (Yes, I'm going to make an analogy with a flower here so hold on!) She is so beautiful and really awesome, but she is a very fragile flower... the slightest wind comes and her countenance instantly changes and rain threatens the horizon! It is sometimes amazing to me how quickly she can go from one to the other. But for all that it is almost as easy to bring the sunshine back out with a little fun. (If anyone can tell me what that last paragraph meant I'd really appreciate it... ) Kay is super cute and super energetic!! Holy Cow! Church has become a task almost beyond us! Debbi and I trade her off the entire meeting just to give the other a break! She wants to crawl everywhere or jump around on our laps, or demand stuff. Of course she can't talk yet, so she just lets out this ear piercing squeal! It is not a scream, but it is sure LOUD! Unfortunately she has learned that when she does that she get's our attention... uggg. She had kind of a hard night tonight as well. We think she is still teething a bit. The first one is good and through now... in fact today she bit me and it HURT... but perhaps there is more coming... at least that would mean there was an end to this madness! Deb is just the most amazing mom ever... of course I can say that! :-) Everyday she is still running. She is gradually working her way up to a 1/2 marathon... tomorrow she will run 4 miles in one day... the next week 5, and so on!! And then if that isn't enough she has tackled the job of keeping the ants out of our house. Somehow they found their way in and she is now known as the ant-killer-lady in ant colonies for miles around! The invaded, and now it is not enough to just get them out... she searches them out and destroys them with a multitude of chemicals! I'm just about the same... running here and there and biking every day. Work is amazing!! I also have a bunch of amazing friends... most of which live under the same roof as I do. I guess that is about it this week. No pictures to report... perhaps next week. I think we have yet to introduce you to our new fish... all named appropriately of course!! Have a great week y'all! We love you all!! Jeff, Debbi, Joseph, Bekah and Kay
